Michelle is a seasoned litigator who represents and defends corporate clients in complex litigation, primarily ERISA class actions involving excessive retirement plan fees, imprudent investment selections, prohibited transactions, and share class mismanagement.

Beyond ERISA matters, Michelle has broad experience handling complex litigation and government investigations related to white collar crime, securities and antitrust litigation, and consumer class actions. As lead trial counsel, she has successfully represented clients in federal courts and government investigations nationwide and internationally, addressing issues such as securities fraud, fiduciary breaches, contract disputes, anti-money laundering compliance, and civil fraud.

On November 4, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island in Williams v. Bally’s Management Group, LLC dismissed a participant challenge to an employer’s tobacco surcharge under ERISA, rejecting both statutory discrimination and fiduciary breach theories.
